HOW TO TELL YOUR SILK IS REAL...

No.1 - The Scrunch Test
This is very simple. Scrunch the material in your hand and if it makes a nice crunching noise similar to that of walking on snow then it's silk. But... if it doesn't scrunch it could still be silk so more testing may be necessary.

Another test that seems to be popular online is the ring test. Find yourself a ring and pull the fabric through the hole. If it glides smoothly through the hole, it’s silk. Other materials will likely get caught on the ring or bunch up.

No.3
Rub the silk... this is usually a very effective way of determining genuine silk. You'll know it's silk if it starts to feel warm. Synthetic types of silk will not give back heat when rubbing.
