RECYCLE CASHMERE

Here at nearly new cashmere, we are passionate about being sustainable. All of our cashmere is sustainable, whether it’s second hand cashmere, factory seconds/samples, or has been made out of what would otherwise be an unwearable cashmere item.

'What can I do with old cashmere?' I hear you ask...

If you’ve got an unwanted piece of cashmere, send it to us and we’ll either sell it on to a new owner or recycle it! Even if it’s been ravaged by moths, we’re sure we’ll find a use for it. We use scrap cashmere to make a number of our accessories such as elbow patches and beanies. You can shop them here at Susan’s Creations. Oh, and did I mention we offer in store credit in exchange for unwanted cashmere… more on that later.

Repair and Recondition

Has your favourite jumper come out the wardrobe covered in holes? Don’t stress… we offer a repair and recondition service that typically ranges between £12-£25. Very often it’s impossible to tell there was ever a hole! If you want to have a go repairing cashmere yourself then head over to our YouTube tutorial on repairing cashmere.

Credit for Cashmere

We typically offer between £5 and £10 credit for cashmere. If the particular piece of cashmere is in good condition and just needs a wash before it goes on the website, then we will offer around £10. Of course, there are occasions when we will offer more than this. For example, if the item is particularly heavy knit or is from a more expensive brand. If it’s a rather well-loved piece of cashmere but we feel we could use it to make accessories, then we will typically offer around £5.
