How to measure a cashmere jumper
HOW TO MEASURE A CASHMERE JUMPER
We know that shopping second hand can sometimes be a difficult process. Don't worry - we are here to make shopping one-of-a-kind a breeze. Every jumper we sell varies in brand and therefore size and style.
We always have, and always will, add the measurements of each jumper in the product’s listing. We recommend when looking for a specific size that you measure a jumper which fits you well, and then compare these measurements to the jumper you see on our website. Read on to find out how we take these measurements.
Step 1 - Measure the chest
Lay your jumper flat and find your tape measure. Measure from one armpit seam to the other. Once you have this measurement, double it to get your chest size (we call it bust on a ladies jumper). This jumper below has a chest/bust size of 35 inches.
Step 2 - Measure the back length
Place your tape at the top of the back of the jumper as shown. Then measure straight down to the bottom hem of the jumper. This jumper measures a back length of 25 inches.
Top tip - If a measurement is in between inches, then we will round down to the nearest whole inch. There’s nothing worse than a jumper that’s too small when you don’t expect it to be!
Step 3 - Measure the arm length
Although arm length is not something we often include in the product description, it is helpful to know how to do measure it. Straighten your jumpers’ arm and place the tape measure on top of the shoulder seam. Run it down the length of the arm to the cuff bottom of the cuff. This jumper’s arm length is 24 inches.
Size Guide
Our size guide will help you understand how we size our jumpers, but the most accurate measurements will always be in the product description. Under each product description, toggle open the 'size guide'. Here we include the models usual UK size and their measurements, to help you compare with your own size.
